I was so excited the other day! I got the second set of swap cards from the girls in the States. These cards are GREAT and I think I may have to step up my game a bit :) But that's the great thing about card swaps...They challenge you to be more creative (at least that's how I feel). So here is the 2nd set of swaps.
Sarah B, Missouri
Sheila R, West Virginia
Regina G, New Jersey
I also had my Card Club on Monday and as always, I had a fabulous time making the sample cards. Here they are:
So I'm sure many of you have heard that Stampin' Up is redesigning the catalog structure. I'm very excited! I think this is going to be a GREAT change for our customers. While I'm sad to see the Decor Elements and Simply Adorned lines leaving, I think the extra month they are giving our customers to purchase from the "mini" will improve sales. Although I think we may need to find a new name, as "Mini" just doesn't fit, since they will be bigger in both size and pages ;)
Now to go off subject for a bit. I believe I have the greatest and smartest Westie ever! When I go to leave the house I just need to grab my coat and she automatically runs into her kennel and sits down. This morning as I was getting ready to take the kids to school, I yelled "Come on boys it's time to go" and she looked up at me and then went to her kennel. I really wish I could leave her out when I leave, but she's so obsessed with the cat, that I feel like Daizey just needs a break. Vodka just wants to play with Daizey, but Daizey doesn't want to. And it seems that the more Daizey swats at Vodka, the more Vodka thinks its a game. They are quite entertaining :)
That's it for now, so GO BE CREATIVE!
I am an Independant Stampin' Up Demonstrator and a Military Wife. I will use this blog to write about my life and my crafts.

Think Spring
I started swapping cards with 6 ladies in the States. So far I have received 3 cards. They look wonderful! I can't wait to see the other ones. Here are some pics of the ones I received and mine:
Card I made for this Card Swap Group
Melinda G, North Carolina
Birdie R, Connecticut
Julie L, Minnesota
Today was my local Card Club here in the UK. I really like the ladies I get to craft with and I am sad that alot of them are leaving. I'm hoping that we can get some fresh crafters in there. Our card group does a swap each month and you also have the option to participate in a Competition. If you win the Competition, you get to keep all the cards and projects that were entered and you get to pick a prize from the basket. Today our swap cards were SPRING theme and our competition was BABY (our hostess is going to be a Nana soon). I won the competition card, but it was purely by default. I was the only one who entered a card. Here are the pics of my cards:

I must say, that my Competition card was cased from Pinterest. I am thoroughly addicted to that site and must limit my time on there. I always catch myself saying "Just one more pin and I'll log off" :) LOL Please visit Jackie Topa's blog and watch her video tutorial at: http://jackietopa.typepad.com/addicted_to_stamping/2010/07/side-step-dresser-tutorial.html

Vagabond Stampin
So I created Vagabond Stampin' to blog about my cardmaking. I chose the word Vagabond because when I looked it up, the first definition said "moving from place to place without a fixed home".
As a military spouse, that pretty much sums up my life. I'm not complaining. I've got to see a lot more of the world than most and wouldn't trade any of my experiences.
On January 27th I will celebrate my one year anniversary as a Stampin' Up Demonstrator. I have created some things on my own, but I have to give credit where credit is due. I get alot of inspiration from Dawn Griffith, France Martin (Frenchie), my card swap group here in the UK and from all the wonderful ladies who post videos on Stampin' Connection.
I belong to a local card swap where I have made some wonderful new friends. Each month we meet, swap cards and if we want, we can also enter a "competition". You make one card and everyone votes on the one they like best. I've come in at a close second, but have never won it....someday :)
Most recently I joined another card swap through Stampin' Connection and Debbie Cunningham. I swap cards with six other ladies from around the US. We send out our cards on the 6th of each month. January's cards were a bit late, but it sounds like everyone got theirs out by the following Monday. Since I live overseas and mail takes a bit longer, I think I might try sending mine out by the first of each month.
I will try and blog each Sunday and maybe more if I'm feeling inspirational ;) Right now I am working on a Secret Project for a friend. I'm about 25% done and when it's all complete and she lets me know she has it, I will post pictures and such.
Now a little about myself...I am a military spouse currently living in the UK. I've been married 15 years and have one child who is 11. He and his Dad can be a handful, but I wouldn't trade them in for all the money (although some days I might feel differently for a second or two).
Princess Honey is a name given to me by my son. He even has a Build-A-Bear family for each of us. There's King Daddy, Princess Honey & Harley. Since coming to the UK we have added Sergeant Daddy, Crash and Drake.
I'm not a scrapbooker. I don't know what it is, but it just doesn't appeal to me. I love making cards and other projects.
I was very lucky to have my wonderful dog Bandit in my life for 14 1/2 years. She was such a wonderful dog and when my son was born, you can see a bit of her in every picture. Just 5 months after moving to the UK, she passed away. We still miss her everyday. Almost 2 years ago, my husband went with some friends to look at puppies while I was in the US at a friends wedding. We pretty much went straight from the airport to the kennel so he could show her to me. I fell in love all over again. She's a West Highland Terrier (Westie for short) and her name is Vodka. My husband wanted to name her Foam (like beer foam), but I refused to yell that in te neighborhood if she ever got out. So she ended up with the name Vodka Harley (hubby's two favorites LOL). She has so many of the same qualities as Bandit, that I would swear Bandit was reincarnated into a westie.
We also have a cat Daizey. Bandit and her were practically inseperable. She however does NOT like Vodka. She was queen of the house for year all by herself and did not appreciate us bringing the white ball of fluff home.
Well, that's it for now. See you next week if not before.
